When a postgraduate student struggles to perform basic office tasks on a computer, it highlights a deep-seated structural issue within the current education system. Many young people spend their most productive years, often until age 30, waiting for government job opportunities. Had they invested this time in acquiring a specialized, marketable skill, they would likely be creating jobs for others rather than competing in an overcrowded market.

The prevailing education system prioritizes rote memorization over creative thinking and analytical growth. The natural curiosity that children possess is often stifled in the classroom, where asking questions is frequently discouraged rather than nurtured. Scientific studies show that a child‍‍`s brain is most receptive to learning between the ages of zero and seven. Instead of providing life-oriented, practical education during this critical window, students are conditioned to memorize answers for examinations. Consequently, even after achieving advanced degrees, many youth remain ill-equipped for the demands of the modern workforce.

Some young people attempt to solve their unemployment by venturing into entrepreneurship without any preparatory research or financial literacy. They often take out high-interest bank loans to launch businesses, but without a strategy to scale sales or reach a target audience, about 80 percent of these startups fail within the first two to three years. To succeed in business, one must understand the nuances of marketing and consumer behavior. For instance, while brands like Aromatic once held a significant market share in the soap industry, they vanished due to a lack of evolving marketing strategies. Conversely, bakery brands like Alltime have solidified their market dominance through aggressive marketing and consistent quality.

Major corporations are no longer willing to compromise on talent acquisition. They are exclusively seeking candidates who can demonstrably increase organizational productivity. A global trend in tech-driven industries involves streamlining workforces. Consider the example of Telegram, the popular messaging app. Instead of hiring hundreds of average employees, they achieved a multi-billion dollar valuation with a relatively small, elite team of engineers. It is a clear message to the workforce: the productivity of one highly skilled professional far outweighs that of five average performers.

To help bridge this gap, initiatives like Mitu Academy are stepping up to support students. They are planning to launch a One Taka School program specifically designed for rural and underprivileged children who are passionate about science. By removing the financial barriers to quality, hands-on education, such programs will play a long-term role in addressing the unemployment crisis. Moving away from certificate-based obsession toward the acquisition of technical and practical skills is now the most urgent requirement for the nation‍‍`s youth.
