Dahi Beef is a standout dish in the world of red meat recipes. The blend of ginger-garlic paste and nut-infused base with creamy yogurt elevates the flavor profile to a restaurant-grade standard. It pairs perfectly with rice, parathas, or naan.
Making this at home is straightforward.
Begin by cleaning half a kilogram of boneless beef. Marinate it for at least thirty minutes with salt, ginger-garlic paste, meat masala, and half of the yogurt. Meanwhile, fry onions and grind them with ginger, garlic, and a mixture of cashews and almonds to create a smooth, rich paste.
Heat oil in a pot and add cinnamon and cardamom to release their aroma. Sauté the marinated beef for about five minutes until the meat begins to brown. Stir in the onion-nut paste and cook for a few more minutes to meld the flavors.
Pour in one and a half cups of hot water and simmer over medium heat until the beef is tender. Once the oil separates and rises to the surface, mix in the remaining yogurt. Let it rest on low heat for two to three minutes, then serve the creamy Dahi Beef while hot.
