An Israeli air raid targeting a residential home in the Gaza Strip has killed three members of the same family, including a six-month-old infant. The attack took place in the Nuseirat refugee camp, marking yet another civilian tragedy as Israel continues to violate the terms of the United States-brokered ceasefire established last year. Medical workers confirmed that the strikes occurred during the early hours of Sunday morning.Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah received the bodies of the victims.
According to reports from Reuters, medical personnel identified the deceased as Mohammad Abu Mallouh, his wife Alaa Zaqlan, and their infant son, Osama. Scribes at the medical facility reported that approximately ten other individuals sustained various injuries during the aerial assault on the apartment complex. The Israeli military did not issue an immediate comment or justification regarding the operation.
Since the bilateral truce came into effect last October, Israeli forces have conducted near-daily operations across the besieged Palestinian enclave, resulting in nearly 900 deaths, according to Gaza health authorities. Correspondents on the ground reported that the latest bombardments began just as families were attempting to flee under forced displacement orders issued by the military. Many civilians were observed running through the streets carrying basic personal belongings, including mattresses and blankets.
Concurrently, Israeli ground forces continued the systematic demolition of civilian infrastructure and homes behind the designated military buffer zones in eastern Gaza. Separate airstrikes in central Gaza also caused extensive structural damage near a local hospital, complicating emergency medical responses.
