Iran and Türkiye Must Unite Against Israeli Regional Division Tactics

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian received the credentials of Türkiye’s new ambassador during an official ceremony held in Tehran on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Pezeshkian stated that relations between Tehran and Ankara continue to strengthen. He described the connection between the two nations as close and brotherly.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s approach toward Türkiye and other neighbouring countries is based on brotherhood and mutual respect, Pezeshkian told the newly arrived envoy.

He noted that ties are fortunately expanding day by day. Given the sensitive conditions in the region, the two countries should maintain cooperation and communication.

Pezeshkian emphasised the need to further strengthen bilateral ties. Turning to regional developments, he accused Israel of seeking to achieve its objectives by creating divisions among Islamic countries.

Today, the Israeli regime is pursuing its objectives by committing crimes and genocide, Pezeshkian said. He added that the regime is seeking to create division and rifts among Islamic countries.

Its objectives are not directed at just one country, but encompass all Islamic countries, he stated.

Pezeshkian stressed that efforts to create division and instability in the region would fail through cooperation among countries, particularly Muslim nations.

He further said that Israel continued its actions with the backing of the United States and some European countries. Meanwhile, much of the international community remained silent in the face of its crimes, according to the Iranian president.

For his part, the new Turkish ambassador, Dogan, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries. He said he would work to advance cooperation and ensure the completion of joint projects.
