The current escalation was rooted in the events of February 28, when a joint US-Israeli attack occurred on Iranian soil. Tehran responded by launching widespread strikes against US military bases located throughout the Middle East, including installations in Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and Oman.
