Defence Secretary Dan Jarvis praised the high level of professionalism and courage displayed by the personnel involved, adding that halting the illicit trade is vital to disrupting the Kremlin finances. The military deployment utilized aircraft from the Maritime Air Group, including Chinook, Merlin, and Wildcat helicopters, alongside an RAF P-8A maritime patrol aircraft.
