Israeli Strike Kills Four Government Employees in Gaza

An Israeli military strike killed four people at a government workplace in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, local officials reported. The attack hit a work post belonging to the Economy Ministry in the al-Mawasi area, west of Rafah.

The government media office said the bombardment also wounded 30 other individuals. Initial medical sources reported a lower toll of three dead and 15 injured.

Officials described the strike as a horrific massacre directed at civilian public sector workers. The employees were carrying out their official duties when the missiles hit.

The media office said the workers were inspecting goods entering Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing. Their tasks involved checking that items were fit for public use and preventing the smuggling of drugs and illegal materials.

The statement accused Israel of waging an organised campaign to undermine government institutions in the territory. It said the military actions aimed to push the besieged enclave toward chaos and lawlessness.

The media office stated that the attack occurred amid daily Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.

Figures released by the office indicate that ongoing ceasefire violations by Israeli forces have resulted in 1,568 Palestinian deaths and 5,648 injuries.

Broader hostilities since October 2023 have pushed the Palestinian death toll past 74,000, with more than 175,000 people wounded. The military campaign has also caused widespread destruction affecting approximately 90 percent of civilian infrastructure across the enclave.
