Israeli airstrikes destroyed two residential buildings in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, displacing dozens of families. The attacks occurred during continued Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.
Local sources and witnesses stated that two separate airstrikes targeted areas in northern Gaza City and the central part of the enclave. One strike hit the Safatawi neighborhood north of Gaza City.
Witnesses reported that an airstrike obliterated a home in Safatawi following an evacuation warning. A resident received a phone call from Israeli intelligence ordering the evacuation of a residential block near the Yassin water desalination station ahead of the bombing.
The warning caused immediate panic among local residents. Families fled their homes in the dark.
Residents received only minutes to leave the area before the strike took place. The attack left the targeted structure in ruins and damaged the surrounding vicinity.
A second airstrike targeted the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. The attack destroyed a five-story residential building in the Block 7 area.
This strike also followed an evacuation warning issued for the surrounding residential block. The explosion caused extensive damage to neighboring buildings and homes.
Local sources confirmed that no deaths or injuries resulted from either of the two strikes. However, the attacks displaced numerous families who lost their shelter.
The offensive by Israel in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and left over 175,000 injured since October 2023. Palestinian figures indicate that approximately 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure in the enclave has been destroyed during the conflict.
