Two Palestinians Killed in Ongoing Israeli Attacks Across Gaza

Two Palestinians were killed on Thursday in continued Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. The truce has formally been in effect since October 2025, but daily breaches persist.

A medical source at Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza reported that Diaa Abu al-Rous died in an Israeli strike north of the Nuseirat refugee camp. Witnesses said an Israeli drone carried out the attack near an electricity company headquarters.

In a separate incident, Arafat al-Arair succumbed to serious wounds sustained days earlier. Medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City confirmed his death. He was injured when an Israeli strike hit a vehicle in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood southwest of the city.

Meanwhile, local sources reported that Israeli military vehicles and artillery shelled multiple areas across the territory. The bombardment struck eastern parts of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, Gaza City, Khan Younis in the south, and Deir al-Balah in the central region.

Israeli warships also targeted the Gaza City coastline with artillery shells and opened machine-gun fire toward the shore. In the eastern Tuffah neighbourhood of Gaza City, military vehicles fired heavily at homes near the al-Sanafour intersection.

In Khan Younis, residents said Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the al-Iqlimi and Bir 19 areas south of the city. Several tents suffered damage from the gunfire, though no injuries were recorded from that specific assault.

Ceasefire violations by Israeli forces have resulted in 1,574 Palestinian deaths and 5,687 injuries, according to figures released by Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The ministry said the broader military campaign, which began in October 2023, has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000 others.

Data provided by the ministry shows the conflict has destroyed approximately 90 percent of civilian infrastructure throughout the coastal enclave.
