At least eight Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in a fresh wave of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, violating the ongoing ceasefire. Medical and local sources reported casualties in both southern and northern areas of the enclave.
A medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis said five Palestinians died in an airstrike in al-Mawasi, west of the city. Local sources stated the strike hit near schools for children, causing widespread panic among students.
Gaza’s Interior Ministry confirmed that five police officers were among the dead in al-Mawasi. The ministry said the officers were targeted by Israeli forces while carrying out their regular duties.
According to the ministry, at least 75 policemen have been killed by Israeli fire since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025. The same medical source in Khan Younis reported that a Palestinian man was shot in the thigh by Israeli forces in the central part of the city.
In a separate incident in Khan Younis, a two-year-old girl was shot in the head by Israeli forces. Medical personnel described her condition as moderate.
In Gaza City, a medical source at al-Shifa Hospital said three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on al-Thawra Street. The dead included a father and his four-year-old son, and local sources added that an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of civilians on the same street.
The strike on al-Thawra Street also left six other Palestinians with injuries of varying severity. Among the wounded were a woman and her child.
In northern Gaza, several Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire in Halawa camp. The site is a makeshift shelter for displaced people located east of the Jabalia refugee camp. A woman arrived at a local hospital in critical condition following the shooting.
Figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry show that ongoing ceasefire violations have killed 1,580 Palestinians and wounded 5,711 others. The ministry’s broader totals indicate that the war, which began in October 2023, has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000 others. The conflict has also destroyed around 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
