The brutal murder of seven-year-old schoolgirl Ramisa in Dhaka`s Pallabi has sparked severe nationwide outrage. Prominent Islamic scholar and As-Sunnah Foundation Chairman Sheikh Ahmadullah strongly condemned the heinous crime.
He stated that enforcing Sharia law is the only effective solution to stop such demonic brutality.
Ahmadullah expressed his intense anger through a short post on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon. He explicitly labeled the perpetrators as complete demons. He wrote that those to whom even a seven-year-old girl is not safe can never be considered human. He argued that strict legal measures are desperately needed to reduce such violent crimes against women and children.
Police recovered the dismembered body of the young child from a flat in Mirpur-11 on Tuesday morning.
Authorities found the girl`s severed head inside the bathroom of the third-floor apartment on road 7 in block B. Her main torso was discovered hidden underneath a bed. The young victim was a second-grade student at a local institution named Popular School.
Law enforcement agencies successfully arrested the primary suspects within just seven hours of the gruesome discovery.
Police detained a rickshaw mechanic named Zakir Hossain and his wife Swapna. Initial investigations strongly suggest that Zakir committed the murder driven by severe perverted sexual desires. Authorities confirmed that his wife directly assisted him in executing the violent crime. Zakir already faces an active anti-terrorism case in the Natore district.
