Hajj Sermon at Arafat: Call for Muslim Unity and Solidarity

Millions of pilgrims have gathered at the plain of Arafat, marking the pinnacle of the Hajj pilgrimage. On Tuesday, May 26, Sheikh Ali bin Abdur Rahman Al-Hudhaifi, Imam of the Prophet‍‍`s Mosque, delivered the Hajj sermon from Namira Mosque. He called for global Muslim unity, solidarity, and brotherhood, addressing the massive sea of worshippers. The message resonated across the plain.

During his sermon, Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi highlighted the spiritual and social significance of Hajj. He described the pilgrimage as a profound reflection of mutual recognition, harmony, and cooperation among Muslims worldwide. He particularly emphasized the importance of patience, unity, and unwavering devotion to Allah, especially during challenging times for the Muslim world. He urged the pilgrims to strive for piety.

Addressing the pilgrims, the Imam said, "Fear Allah, for it is through piety that a servant can attain salvation in the hereafter." He further added that the best preparation for the afterlife is the belief in monotheism (Tawheed) and the worship of Allah alone. He also advised the pilgrims to maintain integrity and avoid falsehood and backbiting. The gathering concluded with heartfelt prayers.

Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi offered special supplications for the prosperity of the Muslim Ummah and for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ worship. He prayed, "O Allah, accept the prayers and worship of the pilgrims, make everything easy for them, and grant them the ability to return safely to their respective homes." The atmosphere at Arafat was deeply emotional as pilgrims joined in these prayers.

Following the sermon, pilgrims performed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers together at Namira Mosque. They will now proceed toward Mina to continue the rituals of Hajj. Namira Mosque holds a significant place in Islamic history, as it is where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered his Farewell Hajj sermon.
