The mortal remains of digital content creator and actress Karina Kaisar will return to Bangladesh from India tomorrow, Sunday (May 17). She recently passed away due to severe liver-related complications while undergoing advanced medical treatment at a specialized hospital in Chennai, India. Her father, former national football player Kaisar Hamid, confirmed the repatriation details to the media.
The aircraft carrying her body is expected to land in Dhaka tomorrow afternoon.
Following the arrival, her first funeral prayer (Janaza) will be held after Asr prayer at the Banani DOHS Jamia Mosque. On Monday (May 18), a second funeral prayer will take place at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka.
Following the completion of the second Janaza, the Karina Kaisar body return process will conclude with her final burial at her ancestral family graveyard in the Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj district. She had established herself as a highly recognizable and vibrant voice among young audiences through relatable lifestyle videos.
Beyond her massive digital presence on social platforms, Karina had successfully transitioned into mainstream acting, securing roles in over-the-top (OTT) web productions and television dramas. She was also an accomplished screenwriter who developed creative narratives for the screen.
Her most notable performances include critically acclaimed roles in the web series Internsheep and the visual production 36-24-36. News of her sudden and untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the Bangladeshi media fraternity, with numerous co-stars, directors, and fans offering tributes online.
