Yemeni Forces Claim 1,087 Strikes Against Houthi Positions

Yemen’s Armed Forces announced on Friday that they executed 1,087 separate attacks targeting Houthi positions across multiple fronts.

According to a military statement, the operations neutralized approximately 336 militia leaders and fighters. The strikes also destroyed or disabled 112 military vehicles and various other assets.

The spokesperson for the military stated that the operations formed part of the ongoing Dawn of Yemen campaign. The offensive used combat aircraft, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers to strike forward command and control centres, Houthi gatherings, and incoming reinforcements. Other targets included firing positions, fortifications, supply routes, and heavy weapons capabilities.

In Taiz, government troops and allied Popular Resistance fighters pressed forward with raids and counterattacks. These actions focused on positions of high military importance, backed by targeted air strikes against Houthi concentrations and reinforcements.

Along the frontlines in Al-Jawf, Marib, and Al-Bayda, as well as southern and southwestern sectors, reconnaissance operations were paired with concentrated fire strikes. These measures aimed to block infiltration attempts, prevent the deployment of enemy reserves, and restrict the movement of Houthi reinforcements travelling between different frontlines.

The spokesperson concluded by stating that the armed forces intend to persist in targeting Houthi military capabilities and threat sources, while taking precautions to safeguard civilians and civilian infrastructure.
