Anthropic Revenue Surges Ahead of Market Debut

The developer of the Claude chatbot stated that revenue for the three months ending on 30 September surpassed the $16.3 billion generated during the entire first half of 2026.

Anthropic filed an amended prospectus with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. This arrived a week after the company submitted its initial public filing on 26 October. The business has applied to list its shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol ANT.

Net losses for the firm expanded during the quarter. The net loss widened to $23.3 billion, shifting from a loss of $12.1 billion during the same period last year.

Operating expenses experienced a sharp increase. Costs surged by 292 percent to reach $17.5 billion.

Anthropic has committed to spending $895 billion in total. Almost all of this capital is directed toward computing capacity and infrastructure.

Approximately $70 billion of those financial commitments is due within the 12 months leading up to September 2027. The company anticipates incurring roughly $448 billion by the end of 2030.

These commitments involve purchases and leases, including some agreements that have not yet began. The firm noted in its initial prospectus that it expects to incur nearly all remaining spending between 2031 and 2045.

The enterprise relies on hardware chips from Amazon, Google, Nvidia, and AMD. These processors are used to train artificial intelligence models, run the Claude service for users, and back researchers.

Both Anthropic and current shareholders intend to sell shares during the event. The company will only receive financial proceeds from the specific shares it sells directly.

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are managing the offering. The debut is anticipated to take place before the US Thanksgiving holiday.

The firm aims to match or exceed the $86.2 billion raised by SpaceX during its market debut. Investors have informed bankers that a fair valuation for the company sits between $1.4 trillion and $1.5 trillion. The initial prospectus left the proposed share price and total number of shares blank.
