The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Bangladesh has officially released the comprehensive roadmap for the Hajj season of 2027, corresponding to the Hijri year 1448. This announcement follows a formal ceremony held in Jeddah, where the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah handed over the detailed schedule to the participating delegations. The roadmap was received on behalf of the Bangladesh government by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Qazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaykobad, from the Assistant Minister of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah.
The newly released schedule outlines a structured timeline for all Hajj-related activities, aimed at ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims. According to the directive, the registration process for prospective Hajj pilgrims must be completed by September 26, 2026. This early deadline is part of a broader effort to streamline logistics and administrative preparations well in advance of the pilgrimage season. The bilateral Hajj agreement between the two nations is scheduled for signature on November 8, 2026, which will codify the terms and quotas for the upcoming season.
Following the initial registration and agreement phases, visa issuance is slated to commence on January 28, 2027. The first departure of Hajj flights is scheduled for April 8, 2027, allowing sufficient time for the transportation of pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Based on lunar sightings, the Day of Hajj is expected to fall on May 15, 2027. The ministry has urged all concerned stakeholders, including travel agencies and pilgrims, to strictly adhere to these dates to avoid any complications during the application or travel process.
Technological integration remains a priority for the 2027 season, with continued reliance on the Nusuk Masar platform. Pilgrims are required to transfer payments for services in the Saudi sector directly through the platform’s e-wallet system. This financial window opens on July 15, 2026, and closes on December 24, 2026. Contracts for essential service packages, including accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, catering, and transport, will be processed via the Nusuk Masar system starting July 29, 2026, and will continue until January 23, 2027. Data submission for pilgrims must also be uploaded to the system between August 14, 2026, and January 28, 2027.
The ministry has also mandated that all airline operators involved in the transport of pilgrims finalize their agreements and documentation within the Nusuk Masar system between July 29 and November 8, 2026. By establishing this clear, tech-driven roadmap early, the government aims to enhance operational efficiency and minimize the logistical hurdles that often arise during the peak pilgrimage season. Officials are confident that this proactive planning will allow Bangladeshi pilgrims to focus on their religious duties with greater ease and convenience.
