Iran Agrees to Surrender Uranium in US Peace Deal

Iran has agreed to surrender its stockpile of highly enriched uranium as part of a largely negotiated peace deal to end the war, according to multiple US sources. The agreement includes an apparent commitment to dismantling significant portions of its nuclear enrichment program. Negotiators are currently working to finalize the details following a 60-day ceasefire. The peace process is nearing its final stage.

Under the proposed terms, the Strait of Hormuz will remain open without tolls for 60 days, during which time Iran will remove mines from the waterway. In exchange, the US is expected to lift port blockades and grant sanctions waivers on Iranian oil sales. Billions of dollars in frozen Iranian assets may also be released, provided Tehran adheres to the final nuclear agreement terms.

However, conflicting reports have emerged from Iranian state-aligned agencies. Both Tasnim and Fars news agencies have expressed skepticism, suggesting that Tehran has not yet finalized any concessions regarding its nuclear program and that control of the Strait of Hormuz will remain firmly in Iranian hands. Despite these internal discrepancies, US negotiators have reportedly threatened to resume military strikes if Iran refuses to surrender its enriched uranium stockpile.

The draft agreement also addresses the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. This provision has raised alarms in Israel, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly speaking with President Donald Trump to voice concerns regarding the deal‍‍`s security implications. Israeli officials fear the agreement may offer Iran a strategic advantage, describing the potential outcome as dangerous.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated that an official announcement regarding the deal could be expected within the coming hours. Regional powers, including Pakistan, continue to mediate to ensure a lasting regional peace.
